Andi Lau lives in Sydney, NSW, Australia, and is in the graduating class of 2026, currently attending NBSC Cromer Campus. Lau has represented NSW since 2022 and has also been selected in numerous Australian squads.
Defensively, Lau is a middle infielder with previous experience as a right fielder, and offensively, a right-handed power hitter with the versatility to effectively bunt when required.
Academically, Lau is passionate about literacy and excels in this area. In 2024, she was ranked first in her year for several subjects, placed top 3 for the remainder - additionally being recognised as Academic Student of the Year at Cromer Campus in 2023. She has recently been selected as the 2025/26 School Captain and Sports House Captain. These important roles and achievements including U16 NSW Team Captain in 2024 have assisted in developing Lau’s leadership and organisational skills.
Lau was head coach of a local club team over 3 years and is assistant coach on the u12s and u16s MWSA Representative teams. She has also previously run a personal pitching clinic for young developing players. These opportunities and experiences have provided Lau with crucial skills in active listening, resilience, effective communication between players and coaches, as well as different perspectives of softball.
